Alice N Chains songs stolen?

My friends dad used to know the manager of Alice N Chains (the Seattle band) and they always used to talk about how the lead singer stole the song Queen of the Rodeo from one of the former members. He isn't listed anywhere, his name is David Dunnihoo. Do you think they really stole the song from him?
