R ethics & science as unrelated in your mind as this stmt seems to claim:"Sorry,I deal in science,not ethics"?

This syatement was made as part of an A to a Q I recently posted in the GW category. I was really disappointed when I saw it because as a responsible,caring human being and a philosopher I do not share that attitude. I want someone to explain it to me because I don't think that way!
